Hello,
I am still new at this, I currently have two Easter eggers that are about 12 weeks old, I set up two nesting boxes inside the coop, I have attached a picture, so my question is. Is this acceptable for them, i will add bedding .....and although you cannot tell they are about 3-4 inches off of the bottom of coop
Next question some people have suggested placing fake eggs in the nesting boxes to help coax them . Also if I do this when should I start placing fake eggs in there like I said they are only about 12 weeks old. Oh BTW i also plan on closing off the doorway in center as well, and moving the access ramp to far right .....this was an old rabbit coop....

Thanks
Peter

These look acceptable to me. I wouldn't place the fake eggs in there until they are closer to laying about 18-20 weeks. Mine prefer hay in the nesting boxes and don't be surprise when they only use one nesting box.

Looks ok for nests, once they have bedding added....
.....but where do they roost(sleep) at night?

Roosts should be higher than nests or they will sleep in nests and poop them up making for dirty eggs.
