nesting boxes

i need some ideals for nesting boxes. something that the chickens want roost on top of.

You can put a sloping roof on so steep they can't stay up there.

You can put a flat piece of plywood that overhangs the nest openings so they don't mess in the nest. This amounts to a droppings board and would need to be scraped off regularly. This pure poop makes a great addition to a compost heap and means you need to clean out your bedding a lot less often.
