nesting boxs

hi there i have 2 chickens in a little house ,theyve been laying eggs for a couple of months but do they need some sort of nesting boxs and how can you easily make some?any advice please!

Lots of folks here use milk crates. Since they're what you have available, go for it! The less spending and construction required, the better!

I made mine out of an old apartment-sized entertainment center along with some reclaimed wood. With the purcase of a 1" x 4" plank and a box of screws, I now have six nice nest boxes for my 20 pullets.

Those cheap plastic storage bins from Walmart would work also. Maybe buy two (identical) so that you can replace one with the other at cleaning time. Just make sure it is weighted down enough so it won't tip over if your hens step on the edge.
 
Also , you can cut 5 gal container and lay on its side . I seen many of those in here use . I just prefer the milk crates . Also the roost area is totally away from the nesting area , ( roost is on opposite side of the coop ) SO , NO POOP in the nest boxes . LOL
