(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? very new and still in the research phase!
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 0 currently, planning to start with 3
(3) What breeds do you have? None, hoping for Rhode island red, buff Orpington
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Eggs, caring for creatures, self sustainability
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Anything crafty - knit, sew, painting
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. dh and i will be married 3 years tomorrow and my kiddo is non-binary so we use they/them pronouns (only 1 kiddo so when I use those terms it’s just one!) we have a dog (pibble/pitiful pitbull) and two cats. We are in the process of finding a home with land.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
googling searches on anything chickens always brought up this site! I figured might as well join to learn as much as i can.
