I just got these two beautiful chickens and am curious what people think about the gender possibility . they are 6 week bantams Ameraucana and ...oh I can't rememeber now but you'll all recognize the other breed.

Oh ! I was totally expecting you all would say cockerel for the Ameraucana (EE? What's the difference) and was relly hoping the seabright is a pullet. Seabrights are hen feathered so it's tough for me but I think after loking closely and watching the behavior that she will eventually lay.Yea ! She's sweet and mild but scared. I think a good match with serama

Not convinced about the other. Are EE's aggressive chickens this one is down right mean to the seabright, keeps her away from food too. The 1st tail feathers are longish and almost sickled, just a slight bend. They will be going in with a micro serama, a B class serama, and a B or C class roo serama. I really don't want an aggressive hen, seramas are very mild tempered even when they get angry it's more feather ruffling and flapping about . This one chases and pecks a lot. Maybe the rooster will tame her a bit?

The color on the easter egger is a color only seen on hens. You will never ever ever see that color on a rooster. Like you'll never see a male calico cat, kinda. Roosters are flashy and splashy, not drab and blend-iny like that.

I'd hardly call her drab, not gaudy but she's a beautiful natural looking finely patterned bird - just mean as snot!

BTW thanks CP. I couldn't resist them when I saw them . They were in with a couple of black copper morans and what I now know is a blue EE. I might have to go back and check for confirmation it's a female now I know a bit more.
Yea! more eggs!
