We have 12 and just added 3 so now 15 😀 the 3 new are 2 americuana silkies and one starlite green egger. The rest of our flock is 4-5 months old so will be nervous as is normal to introduce. They are all amazing for sure

Are you asking how to introduce the littles to the bigs? It helps if you have equipment. I built a special mini coop for introducing new birds or reintroducing birds who have been out of the flock a while. You're introducing only three littles. Just put them in a wire dog crate in the run. Put a bit of something overtop for shade. Prop the door a bit so they can come and go but the bigs can't get in. If they're being bullied, they'll run into their crate.

Put the crate inside the coop at night. If the coop is too small, then put the chicks in once it's dark. Set them on roosts. In the morning try to check on them at first light since they have nowhere to run inside a small coop, in case the bigs pick on them.

Once you feel they're doing well, remove the crate.
