We picked up 5 new chickens yesterday. They're supposedly Ameraucanas. Can anyone tell the sex of them? They're about 3 months old. I'm thinking the little grey one is a hen and one of the bigger black ones too. The others, I'm not sure.

They're still very skittish so it's hard to get a get picture of them. Hopefully those will help at least a little bit! I also forgot to add this one.

Do they look like Ameraucanas to you?

They are probably Easter Eggers unless they came from a honest breeder. One looks to me as if it has a single comb (however it could be a trick of the camera), and if this is true, as least she is definitely an EE. You could get pictures of her comb if you want a little more clarification

We snapped some quick pics of their combs before putting them to bed tonight. (They're still learning to sleep in the coop) Do they help at all?

They all look like Ameraucana pullets to me.

This one at least is an EE (I would venture to say that the rest are, too, since you got them all together)

Well, we are just hoping for beautiful colored eggs so either way we'll be happy as long as they're girls!
