I did it today, 10 more Barred Rock pullets. They will be 4 weeks old Tuesday. My plan is to keep them in the house for two weeks due to the hot weather then into the dog kennel for a month then into the chicken jail in the outside run for a week or so before turning them in with everyone else. Everyone feel free to advise if I am doing wrong, I will appreciate it. BTW, could somebody look at these pics carefully, some of their poop has a red tinge around it. Do they need meds? Jake

I noticed the poop too... before I read what you wrote. I don't have any firsthand experience with anything like that, but I'd be concerned. Hopefully one of the very smart chicken experts will chime in here

Got Sulmet today at the 5th store I went to and they are started on treatment. Any more problems with cocci I will post in the sick section. I think they will make a wonderful addition to the flock. I have 4 br's, 2 ee's, 2 hamburgs and 2 wyandottes but my favorites are the br's. Next will be a br roo I guess. Never ending cycle. Thanks everyone, Jake
