I've raised them for years (along with dozens of other breeds), and they are hardy, friendly and gentle (my children and granddaughter made lap pets of them), and good layers of large, brown eggs. Buff orpingtons are my favorite breed! Do your's have names? Mine do! Their names are Gracie, Sunny and Daisy. I love them to bits. They have such affectionate and calm personalties. Plus their eggs are so pretty and yummy!
