Hi, I'm Sandy. The proud new owner of 6 baby chicks. I've been dreamign of gettign chickens in our suburban backyard for 5 years. But I finally got hubby on board, and he's even puttign his carpentry skills to work in building my girls a beautiful chicken tractor ( for the small price of homemade apple pie).
I had chickens as a kid, as well as a few odd turkeys and ducks, but I'm looking forward to learning all there is to know about what is best for chickens.
I also have 5 kids, 3 dogs, and a cat. The dogs are great with my Mom's chickens, so I'm not too worried about them, but I know I'll need to watch out for neighborhood cats until these girls are a little bigger. For now they are living in my sunroom safe and toasty warm.
