Hello My name is Kyra! I am new to this website and new to raising chickens. We kinda put the cart before the horse so to speak and bought the chickens before having a coop ready for them. Where we live it rains a bit and so the babies are in a holding pin in our garage with a heat lamp and plenty of food and water. I am looking for suggestions on chicken tractor plans. We have 6 chicks. 1 a black lengshan is almost 4-5 weeks and a gray lengshan is about 3-4 weeks and 2 New Hampshire Reds are the same age as the gray. Last but not least we have 2 americanas that are 2 weeks tomorrow. I am posttitve on their age because we were there when they were delivered. The other 4 the gal wasnt sure on their age she kept saying about... All are getting along great!
I am not to sure on the spacing for each full grown hen. Can someone help out with this. Also I have been reading and it says for 6 hens 2 laying boxes.
We plan and having them partial free range and to other in the mobile coop. I am hoping to get the materials for the coop this weekend so any advice or plans would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks, Kyra

We are going to let them have partial free range time and the other is in the pen. The pen will be moved every 3-4 days so they have new ground if in the pin! Thanks for your info! It was very helpful!
