Hello all.
I'm new to this forum as a poster, but have been reading for a while. I live in a rainforest (technically, wet sclerifal but like a temperate rainforest) in Australia with my partner and our nearly 3 year old, two cats and hundreds of 'wild' parrots. Who knock on the door for food.
I currently have 9 chicken eggs in an incubator in my dining room and am hoping to hatch - the due date is Halloween, which is pretty cool. So far it seems to be well, though I discarded three clears a few days ago. They are silkies, ancona and silver laced wyandottes, though so far the silkies seem to be the toughest.
I've never hatched chicks before, so it's pretty exciting.
