New babies

I'm getting some new chicks to add to my flock tomorrow, not sure how old they will be probably at least a week. My girls that I have now are 3 1/2 months old. Not using the nest boxes yet. Thoughts on closing it in to put the new babies in till big enough to join the rest? Wondering if it would get everyone used to each other to maybe make the transition a little less pecking when time came.

If they aren’t laying eggs then block off the nesting boxes

Not yet, and they don't start till 6ish months? So by that time the new one should be big enough to be out and about.
