Hello everyone,

I am new to having chickens (though not new to caring for them.) We just purchased 6 chicks from Paris farmers union near us, and bought them with the assumption they'd be pullets though I know they say only 90% accuracy. We got a barred Plymouth Rock which I know are supposed to be able to be sexed by sight with fair accuracy. I had a drive, and needed to be back home by a certain time so I just did a quick check to make sure they were all alive and healthy before I left. Now that I am home I am second guessing whether this could be a roo or not. Obviously early days as this is just a baby chick, but since this is my first time having chickens although I have done a lot of research I still feel very unsure so I thought I'd ask more season chicken families. I cannot have roosters where I live, and I am already getting attached so I would like to re-home if it is a roo, though I know I may need to wait to be absolutely sure. Excuse the poop-the paper towels were changed after photos and most of that is just chick feed. Also sorry for the poor photos they are fast! Thank you!

Too early to say yet, the spot has to be bred for and poor breeding can make that spot non sexable
I figured it might be too early. I had read that sometimes indications of their feet, the spot, and at the bridge of their nose as well as overall color could be hints of the sex but obviously I don't have the expertise. Thank you for your response!
