2nd time broody this Spring and seeing at least one baby peeking out from under Mom. This time we left her alone, but she is in a nesting box about 2 ft. off the floor of the coop. I sprinkled some chick starter next to her and baby immediately started eating. Question...shouldn't I move her and chick now so the little one can drink and eat? There isn't room for a waterer in the current nesting box.

If she is still sitting eggs, leave her . They can hatch up till day 26. if the chick falls out of the nest it will probably be just fine. But Mom will leave the nest to care for the chick and if you are not right there to get her and chick back in, the eggs she is sitting will die ( happened to me this year sigh{11 eggs died}). Can you fix an upended crate with a barrier to make a "porch" for the feed and water and stable enough so that the chick won't fall off? That way mama hen can eat and drink and so can baby. Chick feed is fine for mama hen. She will teach the chick to eat and drink from her nest.
Best,
Karen
