New backyard flock

Got these back in late February. I know I have a lot of pullets but I also know there are some cockrels help identify them would be great

Greetings and welcome to BYC. Very nice flock of birds you have there! Thanks for the pics. I see two, possibly three obvious cockerels, the rest appear to be pullets to me.

In pic #1, the white guy in front with brown wing lacing and large comb/wattles is a roo as is the one off screen to the left with the nice tail display. That nice tail may belong to the roo in the center of pic #2 that has the whitish neck patch and large comb/wattles, just left of center and 2nd bird in from the left. All the others look to be pullets to me.

Thank you for the warm welcome. The rooster with large display and white patches(any idea what's going on there) is older than the rest of the flock. In pic one the large white one laying down sex? I've seen it try to mount pullets and is mean packs at others.

Yes...it sure looks like he's a he as well. (Big guy right up front in your new pic above) I didn't see him clearly in the other pic you posted. I think it wasn't as obvious because he was laying down and not a straight on or broadside shot. Also, his comb and wattles looked quite a bit smaller than the one I ID'd as a roo. Now that his growing tail feathers are showing, he looks a lot more "he-ish". You'll want to be watching out as they get older and the testosterone starts really flowing. Looks like a bit of a confined space and there's likely to be fights.

Not sure about the patchy color on the other roo... I'm about useless with genetics and breed recognition, especially with "mutt" birds... There is a thread for this sort of thing though and there are some very good/knowledgeable folks who will help you try and figure it out if you post some good quality pics.
