A new chicken coop begins construction tomorrow in Oklahoma. A 20X52 ft overall chicken house plus two runs will house our 60 bird flock, sometimes temporarily swelling to 100. Another structure of like size will be built on the E coast in about 60 days that will handle a similar flock, all white Leghorns. We have some birds already, We need about 40 more. We have located some birds at the Charles River Biological Research Labs. They are part of the "pathogen free" flock, and are often destroyed. We will try to "rescue" them if we are allowed.

Thanks much to those of you who have offered suggestions for locating adult white Leghorns for this teaching project.
