After my initial "what was I thinking ordering chicks in January?!" moment, some babies came today, all alive and spunky despite the snow storm. Most are standard size chickens in breeds I recognize but there are 6 bantams and I have no idea what they are (except that I'm sure they are all roosters.. haha). I know it is hard to tell this early, but I would love to at least get some ideas of what breeds to suspect for later on! None have feathered feet or extra toes.

#1 and #2 are identical, white, and seem "tall":

#3 and #4 are mostly black with some yellow, are almost identical and I am fairly sure they are the same breed:

#5 is sort of striped:

#6 is shades of brown and is much smaller even than the other bantams. I don't know if he's a smaller breed or just a bantam runt:

Here is a top view of the whole crew in a holding box while I got set up :)

Finally, there was one extra buddy in the box that I can't identify. He's not a bantam but is smaller than most standard sized chicks (not by a lot, though). Does anyone know what he is?

#7:

Thanks everyone! Excited to get some guesses, even if they are just stabs in the dark.

Where did you order from?
It always helps to know that since different hatcheries carry different breeds.

These friends came from Ideal. Thanks for asking :)

Their site is down darn it.
Ok I am thinking the white ones could be leghorns.
The black ones could be any of several breeds. They have the pink feet like an austrolorp so maybe....
The last two I have no idea.
Cute as a bugs ear for sure!
I am glad to hear they all arrived well.

Hmm... Ideal's webserver is down so I can't check what bantam breeds they carry, but I do agree on the last one being a BLR Wyandotte.

One thing's for sure... The long legged kids surely aren't Japs!

Those would be some seriously low quality Japanese Bantams.. even by hatchery standards! hahaha.

1-2 Probably Modern Game Bantam (could be Whites or Red Pyle)
3-4 The little black with white could be Barred Rock Bantams but could also be something else. ha
5. Old English Game Bantam
6. My guess is Golden Sebright
7. Blue Laced Red Wyandotte bantam (guess)
