Hi all...

I just completed a hatch from eggs sent via mail that were sold as "barnyard mix".

I was curious if anyone can identify the breed of these little ones, and while I know it's probably impossible, if anyone can tell the gender.

Side Note - they're about 4 days old if it helps.

It's quite difficult to determine potential breeds they were mixed with even as adults. They're much too young now If you could determine potential parent breeds and update once they're 8 weeks old minimum, we might be able to guess a bit!

The site where I've got them from described the eggs as:

You will get a mix of eggs that may be a purebred or cross of from Barnevelder, Blue or Black Australorp, , Cochin, Maran, Silver Spangled Hamburg or Langshan

Well they do look like full siblings in any event.

You can rule out Marans, Langshan, and Cochin as the chicks are all clean legged.
