Definitely a pullet. At 17 weeks it would have male feathering (saddle/hackles). Combs and wattles would be much larger in a 17 week australorp male. The bird, itself would be noticeably bigger than the others too. She is beautiful.Today I saw this pullet? jump down off a roost and chest bump another pullet. Her comb is much larger than the others of the same age (17 weeks)
It's really hot in SC right now so they are all walking around with their beaks open. (Plenty of shade & cool water is available)
