New BLRW Chicks - Round One! Update - Second Wave!

So these are some of 17 Blue Laced Red Wyandottes that just came from Florida (Paul's Poultry Farm). The second wave of 12 two week olds was picked up this evening - pics soon. These little ones are 3 days old.

OK, these were picked up from Mrs. Turbo at the Lucasville show last night. There are 13 but I just took five out to photograph. DD is with a friend today, so I didn't have her for corraling!

Yes - I am officially a fiend now. On March 18th I got 5 pullets from Sue in New York. I am now at 35. My sig-O came home last night, looked in the big brooder (which had 17 3 day olds last he saw) and said "Did you get more chickens?". I said "No, that light just makes them grow really fast - like plants." His eyebrows went up and he said "Really!". Then he saw me trying to stifle my giggles.

I can't go to the Danville swap. I just started a new job & I work 6 days a week. Only off on Sundays. Perhaps it's a good thing! I'm sure my family is trolling online for 12 step poultry programs.
