Good morning,
I just picked these two girls up yesterday. 7 weeks old. Any special care I need to about Brahmas ? Live in New England.
I have 3 adults separated from them. (EE, barred Rock, and a mean Blue Copper marans. )
Thank you

Not as far as I’m aware. There are breed profiles online you can read for temperament, egg laying, general discussions. I’d just say keep an eye on their legs. Feathers are great at hiding scaly leg and can get poo/dirt trapped in them.

Thank you. I was curious if they had different feeding requirement. I didn’t see anything like that online.
I have had large breed dogs and you always have to watch their protein as puppies, because they grow so fast.
but it doesn’t get that technical with chickens I guess. Although I read that they are slow to mature...so, maybe Mother Nature is right on top of that on her own. 😉

Keep those beautiful feathered feet out of the mud. :)
Yes! I will. Fortunately, We dont have much mud here in my yard. Their run is a cement pad, covered with sand in summer, and pine shavings in winter. The yard is grassy. I TRY to keep them neat and clean...and always dry. 💕
