hi i have had 2 chickens for a week, (a white silkie and a wayandotte , I think thats what it is called) and they are very happy together but today i introduced a much bigger sussex.it was a disaster! the sussex attacked the wayandott and made it bleed, i am so worried as i am a complete newbie to keeping hens, i have put the sussex in a cat carrier in the chicken run and the other two are scratching about beside the carrier.i am going to put the sussex in the coop tonight when the other two are in, i have nowhere else for it to go as i only have 1 coop, will they be ok as i dont want to wake up to a dead hen, i only got the new one because i have read that my silkie is not a frequent egg layer (which is why i wanted hens in the first place, but my kids love the silkie now and the wayandott so they are here for keeps) and i wanted a good layer. help, am i doing the correct thing putting them together tonight, my kids will be disrtaught if the new one hurts the others
