New but love raising chickens

Hello! This is an amazing forum!
My husband and I have a hobby farm, and we love it.
Currently we have 3 red frizzles, 1 guinea, 9 New Hampshire Reds, 3 Buff Orpingtons, 11 Cornish cross(10 egg layers and a beautiful roo), 7 pygmy goats and 2 cats. And the neighbors dog, he loves us more.
We are looking to find homes for the goats and raise Black Javas instead.

Greetings! Does the guinea engorge on ticks?

From your experience, are they good at protecting other fowl from hawks?
