Hello im new to this but this question is very important. I have two rhode island red chickens, 1 bantam, and 1 silkie. The silkie had to be separated and now has her own coop because the 3 attacked her and would terrorize her all night and day. (They all grew together) Would it be okay to give the silkie a baby chick to have so she isnt as lonely in her new coop.

I am not sure...It is best to get at least two chicks, instead of just one, so that the chick doesn’t get lonely.
Silkies are known for being broody, but she might not feel like raising chicks right now... You could try it, but be prepared to raise the chicks yourself🙃

How old is this bird?
I'd put her coop right next to the other chickens.
Shes about to be one years old. And yes her coop was built right next to the 3 other ladies. She started coming outside again and seems to be acting back to normal now. Since my silkie is so kind and sweet she is unfortunately at the bottom of pecking order.

She will not take care of the chick unless she is already broody(sitting on eggs day and night). You could get a couple chicks to brood under heat and then introduce them later or get a started pullet.
Yes I figured she would have no interest in the baby chicks. She is never even broody and very easy to get eggs from.
