New chick butt sore

We just got some new chicks yesterday and today I found the Buff Orp has an issue on her butt. I didn’t notice this yesterday, but that doesn’t mean the issue wasn’t there. It looks like it probably was. I’m thinking maybe she was picked on previously. But, I don’t know. Any ideas?

Make sure that's the vent area. Might just be dried on poop. I would gently wash her bum off with a little soap and warm running water. Dry her well. Use a hair dryer if you need to.
If the vent is swollen or red (doesn't appear to be?) you can apply a little coconut oil on the skin to help sooth it and keep poop from sticking to the down.

I would monitor the chick to see that she's eating/drinking and active and get a good look at her poop while you're at it.

Thanks! The vent is in the middle of the chaos. It seems the skin is bare. I will wash and dry her well and use coconut oil.
