From Syracuse, NY just saw on the news that NH has no sales tax and is a good place to retire. Except for the snow that is.

Hey tinychicky, I love horses too. I don't have any of those right now either though. I don't mind so much in this kind of weather. It is supposed to be VERY cold this weekend.
rancher hicks - yes, it is a great place to live, except maybe for the property taxes.

to the addicting...er... wonderfully fascinating hobby of keeping chickens! you will soon learn that they are like those potato chips....you just can't keep one!

you may want to check out the chicken swaps and shows thread to set yourself up with other locals that sell chicks and birds. it is a little early to get chicks but most of us hatch year round here in New England and can give you some tips of good breeds for the area! good luck!
