new chick help

I rescued a two new chicks this weekend. They are BB Red bantams. Both a rooster and a hen. The guy I got them from had around 50 in one enclosed area. The hen looks ok but the rooster has spots on his shoulders and around his tale feathers that are bloody. He looms like he was being pecked. I have them in chicken jail while i am doctoring them up. Is there anything that I should be doing for them? I have put neosporin on the roosters wounds. Also how long do they need to be seperated from the rest of my flock? Thanks for any advice.

I'd keep them away from the rest of your flock for about 2 weeks, or longer if the roo hasn't healed up yet. Other than that, it sounds as though you are doing things right, Is the hen he's with still pecking at him? Chicken jail.... I like that!
