Welcome Nice to have you here! I was surprised how well my older girls are laying... my youngest hen is 6, oldest is 10. All are still laying but not daily. Thelma, the 10 year old has only laid a a few eggs this year but I didn’t expect her to still lay any eggs at that age

Welcome to BYC. Do you have any daughters from them? I'm wondering if they inherited whatever gene to continue laying to that age.

No, I don't. It's weird too because the previous owner didn't keep super good care of them, so I'm really surprised they're doing so well.
