I recently got 3 chickens from a friend. I received 1 egg a day for the first couple of weeks. I'm assuming all from 1 chicken (also same color and time of day). The others do not seem stressed but have not started laying. I've had them for 3 weeks tomorrow.

The one that has been laying has also stopped laying this week and is showing signs of stress. The only factor I can think of is that I hung a bird feeder in the tree by the coop on Saturday? I moved it today but could that have caused my chicken the stress? (probably 10-12 feet away)

I'm a new chicken person but I'm in love with them and want what's best. I have fed them an Laying Hen food and some veggies and extra proteins etc every couple of days. I've kept the coop clean as well. I can't feel like I'm doing something wrong?

Thank you! And in the Northern.

How long does it usually take them to feel comfortable? I just want to make them happy hahaha ;) And I removed the bird feeder so I'm praying that will prompt the one to start laying again!
Just a thought, its a good thing you moved the wild bird feeder. Keep in mind that wild birds can also bring mites or other ailments to your flock.
Waiting for them to lay takes a lot of patience.

Thank you! I can update that at least 1 of them is laying again and I am back to getting an egg every day-two days! So hopefully one of the like 5 adjustments I made is helping :)

Thanks for all the help and advice everyone! I am just going to wait on Dolly and Luna hahahaha
