New Chick Momma

Welcome

Hi all! New to the forum and a new chick momma as of today. I've had 3 laying hens for about 5 months and they've been laying for about 4 of those months. One of them got broody and a friend gave us some fertilized eggs for her to sit on. Today, the first one hatched! Now I feel like a fish out of water...feel so unprepared. LOL. I have several questions that I'll post in a separate thread if I don't find answers in previous threads. Open to any and all tips on raising chicks. Looking forward to learning from the group!

Congrats on the new baby! You might section off the area for mom and chicks so the others don't bother them, get them and mom on chick starter, in a week mom will be ready to bring her babies out into the world.
