new chick needs companion

I had one chick hatch out of my 6 I had in the incubator. He needs a friend so he'll stop cheeping.

Anybody live near cincinnati or dayton ohio that has chicks right now and would like to give him a friend?

I don't live close, but I can give you some advice on how to keep him from getting too lonely. Get a feather duster...the old type with actual feathers. Your baby will nuzzle up to it and think its mommy. My babies love the duster.

Thanks for the advice. I have a small stuffed animal in right now, I'll give the feather duster a try.

Check your farm supply store. they probably have chicks right now. you could also find someone on BYC who will give you some chicks .
