(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
-Yes I am new to chickens. I have witnessed a few family members raise chickens and friends. But never on my own. We bought our chickens at a local tractor supply store, all I could find at the time. My daughter (4) ((no 5 now.)) and I really needed something to keep us busy and our minds healthy. I am a grieving mother. 4 year old daughter, my 1st child, died in a car accident 5 years ago.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
- Now I only have 3. A hawk or owl stole one of my hens the first few weeks they where out side in there new coop.
(3) What breeds do you have?
-Not a clue. I am trying to figure it out.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
- I enjoy the busy work. Being a chicken mom. The entire care taking process is fun to me. Until clucky started attacking me, and fam out of no where. My rooster.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
-crafting building furniture. Gardening. Being a mother

about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share.
- Haven't been able to work in 5 yrs. I have a 5 year old little girl named Lilly grace. My 4 year old daughter passed away 5 years ago. Her name was Aleah Faith.
I am an angel mom. Mom to an angel.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community
- I believe on a Google search when I was building there coop from scratch. It looks awesome btw!
