Hello Everyone 
I am a fairly new chicken owner, (May 15, 2013) I have 16 chickens in total. 5 Silver-Laced Wyandotte hens with 1 rooster, I ordered 5 Golden-Laced Wyandotte hens, but received 4 hens and 1 rooster, and I ordered 5 straight-run Silver-Laced Polish which gave me 1 rooster. Love my birds, have not named them, because other than the males, only 1 Polish is distinguishable from the others. This one is predominately white, definitely NOT Silver-Laced. My chickens are free-range, they are out all day, and come in every evening on their own. We also have 4 Call ducks and an English Mastiff that we rescued. We got the dog before the birds and she LOVES them all. If anyone ever comes up missing, we go out with a flashlight and it takes her under 5 minutes to find the AWOL bird! I love having chickens and cannot wait to start getting eggs from our girls!
