New chick owner! Help! Lol

Hello, what a cute chick! Have any others hatched since you first posted last night?

I have had one more hatch. She seems to have a bum leg though. Any thoughts?

Congrats on the chicks, one thing remember from my dad hatching chicks is don't put them on newspaper or anything slippery as that can cause leg problems. From your pictures it looks like you have them on a towel which is good.

So I have had another egg hatch. About 4 days after the first. This little one has an issue with her leg. She is about 3 days old now and one leg seems kinda bum.. I hold her on her back and move it around and she doesn't seem to fuss about it but she doesn't use it to walk like the other chick does. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.

I agree. Please fix it while you can... 4-weeks is most likely the last time it can be fixed. I adopted a hen that had a splayed leg and curly toe paralysis that was never correct. I adopted her at 15-weeks and she is now almost a year old, but she cannot drink on her own and very clumsily eats on her own. I didn't want her to be culled. She is an inside chicken for the rest of her life. She is my gift from God.
