(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? Not new. Oh me....I don’t remember. I have been hatching with my Nuture Right 360 for 2-3 years now.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? 30(ish).
(3) What breeds do you have? French Black Copper Marans, Blue Gold Partridge Brahmas, Silver Ameraucana, mixed ameraucana, mixed bantam Cochins, and working on Olive Egger mixes.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens? Egg color and hatching chicks is like a Christmas morning every day.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? Raising American Quarter Horses, hunting, fishing, raising goats, and spending time on the farm with family.
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. I’m a RN and work from home with cardiac data registries. My husband is a State Trooper. We share a 6 yo daughter and I have a 20 yo stepdaughter. I have 7 horses (for now), 20 goats, 30+ chickens, 2 dogs, and an extremely spoiled house cat.
(7) Bonus: How did you find BYC, how long have you known about BYC, and what made you finally join our awesome community?
Google. Lol. I want to be sure I don’t mess up hatching this goose! Sooo close to seeing him/her!
