Okay experts, mama hatched our first ever homegrown chick. Do they need heat lamps if mama is with them?

From my experience as long as mama takes care of the chick no, but some of the others may have better insight.
Back in the 80s I raised chickens and some hens went broody. Those hens raised the chicks. I never did anything that is how I base my answer.

The hen will do all the work. She will keep them warm, find them food and water. Unless she is just being totally negligent. The less you interfere with her. The better.
