I bought 4 chick's on April 24thth from TSC. I usually order from Meyer hatchery but I was there getting feed for my hens and those dang things are making noise and my youngest daughter asks if we can get some. So of course, no need to twist my arm. Lol
Anyway, one is a sapphire olive egger and she was fine like the others when we brought them home. Over about 4 days, her neck looked weird. Is this wry neck? I've given her honey water with a syringe and also vitamin e. I separated her from the other 3 because they have so much energy that she almost was trampled. I go over and check on her often. She's eating her chick feed and drinking water but here's what happens. She goes over to the food and takes a few morsels and then she starts to hang her head and lays down and sleeps... same with the water. She's not growing fast like the others and she is getting feathers though. I don't know what else to do. It's anyone out there that can tell me what you think or know? The one picture I'm holding her, on the left, that's the part where you can feel her neck bone. I just lost one of my hens yesterday to a diamond back snake bite, I don't want to lose a chick of I can help it. Thank you!
