I have a mama hen who hatched and is raising 2 chicks that are almost 2 weeks old. She was sitting on one more that hatched this morning. Mama showed no interest in this little guy. I took him in the house and warmed him up. He's drying under the heat lamp and so far so good My question is IF he survives is there any chance I can reintroduce him to mama hen and the other 2 chicks? What are the chances she'll accept him back being smaller than the other 2 chicks?
Please be kind, I'm new to this and doing my best

You are going to have to raise this chick. She will not accept it having hatched so late.

The best scenario for this chick will be to set up a brooder in the coop and use a brooder plate. Set it up near the other birds and construct it from wire so the chick has lots of fresh air and can see the other birds and they her. Make sure the brooder is covered so the other birds cannot get in with her. This way the chick will not feel so isolated and lonely. Once the chick is about 4 weeks old, you can fashion a small chick door in her brooder to let her come and go. The older chicks may also be able to fit into her brooder so keep an eye out the first hour or 2 that you permit intermingling.

In the future, never ever let a hen set on staggeredly set eggs. Give her all her fertile eggs at once after you clearly marked them. Then check her hatch nest every day and remove any eggs that are laid there by the other hens to prevent this from happening again.

Update on the lone chick.....we went and bought 3 Americana chicks just a few days older to keep her company. She seems happier and better now. 🥰
I came here to ask if you could buy any chicks for the lone chick! Congratulations on your babies, and yay for happy chicks.

Thank you! Getting more chicks was definitely a good idea
It was a great idea! I had a lone chick hatch once, and he was so pitiful. It was too late in the year to buy anymore chicks. Fast forward a year later…he’s my house rooster, that likes to sit in a rocking chair watching “I love Lucy”.
Now you get to pick out more names :)

That's great! I did tease my husband that this one may have to be a house chicken. He didn't love the idea quite as much as I did! 🤣

FYI: my husband hated the idea. Now Fred (my house rooster) is my hubbys favorite. I’ve got pictures of them napping together on the COUCH! It’s fun times here..sigh

I just had a singlet hatch and it is a house chicken. She follows us around the house and steals food as I'm eating it. I have more chicks coming next week, but I think this one is supremely attached to us.
I'm a little attached to this one....she may be an "indoor/outdoor" chicken😉
