thought i'd better post and introduction before i get too carried away in the forums. what a great place! if rabbit holes are your thing!
oh my goodness! what a wealth of information. and all the pictures!! i will never lack for internet fodder again.
for ease of introductions, i will use the provided template:
(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? i got my first brood this summer.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now? i have 7 hens, one roo and one bantam roo.
(3) What breeds do you have? i think they're all BO crosses. my brother-in-law told me what they were and i wrote it down here somewhere...
(4) How did you find out about BackYardChickens.com? from the blog,front porch indiana .
(5) What are some of your other hobbies? knitting, sewing, photography, cooking, blogging
(6) Tell us about your family, your other pets, your occupation, or anything else you'd like to share. i'm married with one grown daughter still at home. we have four dogs and live on a small acre in central indiana
