im thinking about creating a new breed by crossing a cochin with a barnevelder over generations until they breed true do you think this would be cool breed

What's your goal with this project
this all just an idea im not even sure ive im going to go through with it.

overall my goal is to create something visually striking

pretty feathers and feather feet

i was envisioning blue laced lavendender or lavender laced blue if that would even be possible

this is a little sketch

Name: (working, to be finalized)

General Appearance:

  • Upright and proud with a broad chest and back, giving a strong and commanding presence. The body is sleek yet substantial, with an elegant stance.
  • Fully feathered legs, long and sturdy, accentuating the upright posture.
  • Slightly rounded head with a small-to-medium comb. Eyes bright and expressive, giving an alert, confident expression.

Plumage:

  • Soft, rich blue base color with delicate lacing across wings and tail. The pattern is refined, visually textured, and enhances the bird’s ornamental appeal.

Temperament:

  • Intelligent, calm, and friendly. Socially adaptable, enjoys flock interaction, and has a graceful, confident presence.

Eggs:

  • Medium brown, occasionally with a subtle tint.

Use:

  • Ideal for ornamental flocks, backyard enjoyment, and light showing.

Size & Build:

  • Medium to large. Broad across the chest and back, upright posture, slightly longer legs for an elegant stance.

Do you think this is a good idea or is this new breed idea stupid.
