New Chicken Coop

I stole this idea off of here
its all made out of pvc pipe ....
The base is 3" pvc pipe
My BF putting the base together

The top is 3/4" pvc pipe

Chicken wire ugh I HATE fooling with it

My mother and I did the rest(most of the wiring which was a PAIN

I did the door with little tools I didn't have a drill or anything just a knife, wire cutters, and pipe cutters

me enjoying the fruits of the labor

Looks great! Simple way to keep tons of birds in. However, I'm sure you've read this many times here if you got that idea from here, but chicken wire will keep nothing out. It will only keep your birds in. So if you have predators (everyone does), then they'll go right through that chicken wire without blinking. I use chicken wire for my arc, but they never spend the night in it. My coop run has 1/2" welded hardware cloth on it. That's the minimum that should be used to be predator proof.

otherwise, I love the design! I may build a greenhouse like that someday!

got electric wire that goes around the bottom I turn it on at night....plus I got a 80 pound German shepherd who'll let me know if theres a problem
