New chicken did not go in to roost at night

I had a jap bantam rooster, I really wanted a hen so i posted on CL till i found one, when I got her i left her in the coop for 1 1/2 days so she would get used to it. Tonight when I go to lock up my chickens she was roosting on one of our barn stall doors.

What should I do?(I put her in the coop) If I leave her in the coop a few more days b4 letting her free range do you think she will start roosting in the coop. Im afriad ill go out one night and not be as lucky to find out where she was roosting.

Please tell me any tips or suggestions

Keep her in the coop for a week, then check each night.

Put her near other birds in the coop when you find her.
