I’m in Maryland. I got my first 5 chicks in late March. I didn’t know much about them, so I went with black Sex Link, and I was told they were fairly certain to be hens.

Well, here I am 3+ months in, and I have 2 hens and 3 roosters. They’re all beautiful! However, I know that I can’t keep 3 roosters together with only 2 hens.

I’ll willing to give 2 away. Any takers or suggestions?

Hi, I’m in Maryland too. I’m up in Cecil. Facebook has backyard chicken groups for different towns and counties, and there are lots of posts for rehoming and trading animals. I’ve had luck with them before. Welcome to BYC!
There is also a forum in this site for rehoming animals. If you go to the list of forums, you should find it.

Greetings & Salutations. Welcome.

This is a wonderful site on which to Learn and enjoy.
We are pleased to have you in the community.

As you have found 3 BSL cockerels, do they look like Barred Rocks?

Hiya, and welcome to BYC! :frow

You could post them here: Animals in Need of Free Rehoming

Be sure to put your state code in your title so folks in MD will see it. There's some posts by states started there but don't think there's one for Maryland so just make your own.

Otherwise, my best luck was in our state and local poultry groups on Facebook. Good luck!

We're glad you're here!
