We are putting the finishing touches on our coop in the next couple of days. I write a blog on RorySeiter.com documenting many things. I am very excited about the gutter to rain barrel to nipple waterer that we made. I will post pictures when it is completely finished. I always seem to need the drill size that I don't have. I also made a feeder that I hope will help eliminate waste. It is a 2 inch pipe inside of a 3 inch pipe that hopefully has just enough space to let the feed fall through. I fins this all hard to describe, so pictures will be posted when it is ready to go. We just "finished" (are they ever actually finished) construction of the coop and hope to get chickens this week. We are still deciding on breeds. I am more spur of the moment and am willing to go buy whatever tickles my fancy, but my partner has specifics that she wants. We are hoping that the mild weather here in the northwest will allow us many options of breeds to choose from.
If anyone else in Seattle wants to coms over and compare coop notes, I would like that. If you fly fish, even better! Thanks for reading.
