New chicken hobbyist in Tehachapi, CA

Hi there. My family and I are new backyard chicken keeping in Tehachapi, California. We have a small flock of 4 Buff Oringtons, 4 Ameraucanas, and 2 olive eggers. We purchased them a month ago from a local friend of a friend; they're all year-old's, so they were laying eggs upon us receiving them (which I was very excited about). I'm their primary caretaker & so far have learned everything I know about chickens from YouTube and the internet. Hoping to get lots of insight from you more experienced chicken keepers here on this forum!
