New chicken lady

Hi and welcome to BYC! Sounds like a beautiful flock. You should know that the stress of moving may cause your chickens to stop laying for a bit. Maybe a few days, maybe a little longer. Also, if you are in the Northern Hemisphere, as the days get shorter, that will also cause fewer eggs. They should pick back up again in the spring.
I live in NW Florida.

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow

Congratulations on your new flock! If you have any questions about them along the way, be sure to ask. Eggs should be coming down the pipes soon, once they have relaxed at their new home.

Welcome to our community!

Well I have had the 4 new hens for a while now and still only get 3 eggs out of 6 chickens. I put up a camera and the RIR, Black Australorp and one of the Barnevelders have gone into the nesting box. Ian thinking the Barnevelders lay every other day now that the days are getting shorter. I plan on getting some more hens soon!

More hens every couple of years is the best way to do it. That way as your older ones get old and slow down, you've got younger ones still pumping them out.
