I am Melody and my husband Bill & I have just stared raising our own chickens after we lost our beloved lone hen Consuela. I am a nurse and esthetician/makeup artist and my husband is a quality control engineer. We love animals-especially rescues and currently have 3 dogs, 2 cats, 2 rabbits, a fish tank with fish and an aquatic frog, 2 Muscovy ducklings and 13 chickens-a mix of everything including 2 show quality Malaysian Seramas that were a gift to me from Consuela's chicken vet. Love this site! so much useful info and friendly people!!!

Thanks! Funny you added the "leg issue". That's what Consuela went to the vet for. Turns out it was just a sprain and a few weeks of rest and mobic and she was fine. Poor girl got locked out of her coop, roosted in a tree like she used to and we think a hawk got her =( But love our new birds-Siesta is my baby (in my avatar) my sleepy bird named in memory of Consuela <3
 
How nice of your vet to gift you with show seramas. My friend has house pet chickens 2 serama hens and 1 silkie hen. Never a dull moment.

Seramas are tiny birds with big attitudes
