My kids and I live in Va and just got 8 chicks. 2 Silkies, 2 Barred Rocks, and 4 Plymouth blue rocks. We want to have more and are excited about our chicken raising journey, but we are still learning what is allowed in our area.

I have 7 (soon to be 8) amazing kids that I get to stay home with and homeschool. This has been a fun addition to our family as we enjoy doing projects together. Everyone is obsessed with the chickens and keep begging to add more to our flock.

Welcome! I will be entering my 20th year of homeschooling this fall. I wanted 8 kids--- was blessed with 4 and am finishing up my homeschooilng journey with 3 graduated and the youngest going into 10th grade. I am new with chickens as we started last fall, but this site is a great resource. Enjoy!
