Hello All....
My name is Kelli and I am a stay at home wife, and recently lost my mother suddenly and I find therapy in my daily walks, talks and feedings with my chickens every day..... My husband purchased me an incubator and I want to try my hand at hatching my own chicks. I currently have 21 chickens, 4 roosters, and 17 hens. I am getting about 10-14 eggs a day from my hens and my fridge is overflowing. I have one brooder hen and she will lay approximately 15 eggs and will abandon them so therefore I am gonna try my luck at hatching them myself. I have a incubator that was purchased from tractor supply and I am looking for any advice that could be given to help me get started and to have somewhat a success. I am excited to find a forum to ask questions and share ideas with others that have the same interests as myself... I hope you all have a blessed day....

Chickens make great therapy animals. It's so easy to become lost in their lives and allow you to let go of other things.
